Today is my due date and I don't have a baby yet, which is good considering how sick I am. I am in the throws of pregnancy cold #9, which just turned really nasty and is keeping me up all night coughing, etc. I'm not thrilled about the possibility of being sick for delivery. You never want sick people around your newborn and it sucks especially if it's you (the mommy) because you'll be coughing all over someone with very little immune system. Goody.

I have a doctor's appointment in a few hours to see how things are going.

I'm so tired of being sick and feeling bad all the time. I realize your immune system goes on hiatus when you're pregnant but nine colds (typically lasting 7 - 10 days) in 40 weeks seems really ridiculous. In 280 days, I've spent 90 having a cold and about 200 with some type of nausea if not outright vomiting - plus 50 days of nosebleeds, 30 days of swollen ankles, 280 days of moodiness, and 150 days of insomnia. Geez, I love being pregnant. This is the last time though and I wanted a second child and so I shouldn't bitch.... but I can't help it. Pregnancy is such an awful experience that I'm endlessly surprised by it.
