I'm not dead.
But, man alive, I'm buried in work. For the last week, I've been meaning to update just to say I couldn't really update until the 12th, because that's when all my work is due and I can resume what passes for having a normal life. I really took on way too much work in the last month or so and I've been really stressing. However, it's all over Wednesday and I'll be back to my usual.
Nice Husband
Now that husband's school schedule isn't so hectic, he's suddenly realized how much a lazy form of entropy dominates so much of what I do. I always have so much to do. So, if something isn't absolutely pressing then it doesn’t get done --- like shaving. I'm immensely lazy about shaving. Husband just bought me a brand spanking new razor because I've been using the same one for the last year. Needless to say, the blade is really dull, so I've had to use it very, very carefully. Anyhow, it was making husband wince and I just kept forgetting to get new ones every time I was at the store, so he got one for me. Husband doesn't care if I shave or not either. He just doesn't want me to cut my shins to ribbons.
He also got me a sporty bottle of honey from Spain that doesn't drip. Normally, I get honey all over the counter and everything else. It drives us all nuts. It's not just me being a slob either. The containers all seem to leak. So, I'd use it and then wipe it off only to come back an hour later to find a sticky puddle of honey on the counter. Usually, I'd make this discovery by setting something in it. However, this new one really seems to work. I've been using it for three days now and still no dripping. I'm quite chuffed with it. I just hope I can refill it.
So --- It's nice having Husband around again. I've been a graduate school widow.
Everyone's linking to this left and right, but if you haven't read it, it's damn funny. The 70's were very scary. Weight Watchers IS very scary.
I've always loved weather pictures because I like the cloud patterns. This earth weather view is really nice.
Waffle. Waffle.
It's after 1 o'clock in the morning and I'm giddy and exhausted. I also have a speck of what appears to be poison ivy on the back of my hand. EEEk! I'm highly allergic to poison ivy and if I wake up covered in it in the morning, it will mean a trip to the emergency room for steroid shots. Yay. However, I took a hot bath after being outside, so I'm hoping I just missed a spot. I suddenly feel itchy but I'm hoping it's psychosomatic.
I have to go to bed to stop babbling now.
