We had two "firsts" for Ro boy last week. He had his first trip to the dentist and his first ice cream cone. You can probably guess which one he liked better.

The trip to the dentist was a result of him having fallen into the coffee table over two weeks ago and getting a terrible bloody lip and gum. One of his front teeth started turning grayish about a week ago, so I figured the nerve had died. The dentist said a gray tooth didn't necessarily indicate a dead nerve. It could just be bleeding that seeped into the tooth and it would take awhile to seep out. If the tooth became more gray or is still gray in a few months then the nerve might be dead. In either case, they don't do anything unless an abscess develops.

On Friday, we stopped by 31 Flavors (which doesn't even have 20 flavors now) and got Ro boy a kid's scoop of Cookies n' Cream. He loved it. I got a scoop of chocolate mint, which was appealing to me for some reason. I don't know why as I don't normally like or eat much ice cream. It sounded good at the time though.

Anyhow, Ro boy was watching me eat my ice cream and then I started to eat my cone. He kept staring and saying "oh no" intermittently as he watched. We eventually realized he thought it was weird that I was eating food and then apparently eating the container it came in. Since that isn't normally done, he was puzzled. To him, I was basically eating a plate. So, Daddy bit off part of Ro boy's cone to show him it was edible and then he chowed down on it enthusiastically as well. It was funny.

Baby Bun Name Game
I had my second ultrasound on Tuesday and they were able to tell us we're having a girl. Yay. Everyone in our families seems to be beside themselves. I think everyone was hoping for a girl this time.

Now we have to come up with a name, which is a process I find to be somewhat painful. We can't use the girl name that we had with Ro boy because it sounds too similar to his name. Nothing has really grabbed either of us. We have 14 weeks left to come up with something though.
