We bought Ro baby a toy in a box with a cellophane panel. In typical kid fashion, he played with the box -- even putting it on his head, which made him look like a spaceman. He liked stuffing the box on mommy and daddy's head too.

We leave on our trip today. Augh. I'm so hoping for a peaceful and safe trip. The one advantage of traveling with a young child is that I'm more worried about surviving three hours of crying rather than fiery death scenarios.

I've bought lots of small cars and toys and snacks. We bought Ro baby his own seat too, so we can keep him locked down in his car seat. I'm not planning on letting him out as it would be like setting a wild monkey loose the plane. He's probably tear up and down the aisles like a mad man. He'd never be content to just sit there.

I'm sorry I haven't replied to any email lately. I'll get to it when I get back. I'm so swamped trying to get stuff done and get ready for this trip. I'll be back in a week if the plane doesn't go down in a huge burning fireball.

I did manage to get some snail mail out.
